Smart Printer App is an iOS application developed and operated by Ameya Labs LLC, a Limited Liability Company registered in the State of Washington, United States ("Ameya Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). All documents you select for printing are processed entirely on your device and transmitted directly to your printer over your local Wi-Fi network. This data never passes through our servers.
If you install the app after tapping an Apple Search Ads advertisement, we use RevenueCat (see Section 2.5) to receive Apple's privacy-preserving attribution signal confirming that the install can be attributed to a specific ad campaign. This relies entirely on Apple's own attribution APIs and does not use your Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or require App Tracking Transparency permission. We use this solely to measure whether our own ad campaigns are effective, not to build a profile of you or track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We use PostHog, with a United States ingestion endpoint, to understand feature use, printing reliability and subscription conversion. Analytics can include:
PostHog receives the IP address used to connect to its service and uses IP-based geographic enrichment to estimate location, such as country, region, city, postal area, time zone, and approximate coordinates. These estimates describe the network connection and may be inaccurate; they do not come from GPS or device location services. Geographic properties are associated with analytics events and their installation identifier.
We do not send your name or email address as part of these analytics events. However, a persistent installation identifier, event history and approximate location can constitute personal information. We describe this data as pseudonymous rather than fully anonymous. The analytics integration does not upload document contents. Printer-supplied diagnostics are separate from the document itself. We use PostHog data for product analysis, not cross-company advertising tracking. See PostHog's privacy policy.
Analytics initializes when the app launches. The current app does not provide an analytics opt-out switch. Contact us about applicable privacy rights as described in Section 9.
If you contact us for support at contact@ameyalabs.io or support@ameyalabs.io, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your name and email address. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and do not add it to any marketing list.
When you use the Send Feedback button within the app, a diagnostic log file (printwave-logs.txt) is automatically attached to your email. This log contains technical information to help us diagnose your issue, including:
This log is only transmitted when you explicitly tap Send Feedback and choose to send the email. It is never uploaded automatically. You can review the attached file in the Mail app before sending, and remove it if you prefer not to share it. We use this information solely to diagnose and resolve your support issue.
The app offers optional in-app purchases, including auto-renewing subscriptions and one-time purchases, processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. To verify and manage entitlement status (i.e., confirming that a purchase or subscription is active so premium features unlock), the app uses RevenueCat, a subscription management platform. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier to your installation of the app and receives purchase/transaction data from Apple's App Store to confirm entitlement status. The app requests access to the following device capabilities. Document content is processed on-device and sent to the selected printer. Technical analytics and optional support diagnostics are described in Sections 2.3 and 2.4:

The app installs a system share sheet extension that allows you to send documents from other apps directly to Smart Printer App. The extension receives only the file or content you explicitly choose to share and passes it to the app for printing. No data from the share extension is transmitted to our servers.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. Ameya Labs LLC is based in the United States. Our third-party service providers (RevenueCat and PostHog) may process data in the United States or other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please be aware that these providers rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses to lawfully transfer data internationally. By using the app, you acknowledge that your entitlement, attribution, and pseudonymous analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.
The Smart Printer App is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@ameyalabs.io and we will promptly delete it.

California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The diagnostic and pseudonymous analytics data we collect is used solely for app improvement. If you are located in the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, our lawful basis for processing crash and analytics data is our legitimate interest in maintaining and improving the safety and quality of the app. We consider applicable privacy rights when relying on legitimate interests; pseudonymous analytics may still be personal information. For support communications, our lawful basis is contract performance (responding to your request). You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Ameya Labs LLC does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.
The app may allow you to print web pages from external URLs. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of third-party websites and are not responsible for their privacy policies. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party services.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the app. Your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
