Effective date: April 8, 2026  ·  Last updated: April 8, 2026

Plain-language summary: PrintWave processes all your documents entirely on your device and sends them directly to your printer. We never see or store your document content. We collect only anonymous crash reports and usage analytics to improve the app, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

1. Who We Are

PrintWave is an iOS application developed and operated by Ameya Labs LLC, a Limited Liability Company registered in the State of Washington, United States ("Ameya Labs," "we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the PrintWave app and visit our website at ameyalabs.io (collectively, the "Services").

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at contact@ameyalabs.io.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicit about what we do not collect:

All documents you select for printing are processed entirely on your device and transmitted directly to your printer over your local Wi-Fi network. This data never passes through our servers.

2.2 Crash and Diagnostic Data (Firebase Crashlytics)

We use Firebase Crashlytics, a service provided by Google LLC, to collect crash reports when the app experiences an unexpected error. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crashlytics may collect:

This data is anonymous and cannot be used to identify you personally. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed by Crashlytics: policies.google.com/privacy.

2.3 Usage Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog to collect anonymous analytics about how the app is used. This helps us understand which features are valuable and improve the user experience. PostHog may collect:

We configure PostHog to use anonymous device-level events only. We do not attach any personally identifiable information to analytics events. PostHog's privacy policy applies: posthog.com/privacy.

2.4 Information You Provide Voluntarily

If you contact us for support at contact@ameyalabs.io or support@ameyalabs.io, we receive the information you include in your message, such as your name and email address. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and do not add it to any marketing list.

2.5 In-App Purchases

The app offers optional in-app purchases processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple's privacy policy governs the purchase transaction: apple.com/legal/privacy. We may receive from Apple only confirmation that a purchase was made (e.g., that a user has unlocked premium features), not any payment details.

2.6 Device Permissions

The app requests access to the following device capabilities. All data accessed through these permissions is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

2.7 Share Extension (PrintShareExtension)

7. International Data Transfers

Ameya Labs LLC is based in the United States. Our third-party service providers (Google/Firebase and PostHog) may process data in the United States or other countries. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, please be aware that these providers rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses to lawfully transfer data internationally. By using the app, you acknowledge that your anonymous diagnostic and analytics data may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

8. Children's Privacy

The PrintWave app is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The diagnostic and analytics data we collect (via Crashlytics and PostHog) is anonymous and does not constitute personal information under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
